I honestly don’t think we’re using ‘Friendzone’ to vilify women. It’s just a place you land in, when you wait entirely too long to tell someone you like them. No decision has been made because no one has said anything. It’s basically limbo.
The only way to get out is to get an answer.
And people, don’t curse your unsuspecting paramour for being there. That’s all on you. Don’t be someone’s friend because you want them to date you. Be their friend because you genuinely want to be their friend. Don’t bitch about them complaining about their significant other because you want that to be you. Friends don’t do that. Friends listen, and offer advice. That’s the job.
If you want to date them, then ask.
